Grace potter's mgt recently specifically asked for the bonaroo recording to be pulled from the LMA.

http://www.archive.org/details/GracePotterandtheNocturnals

"Update: Nate told us they would like 6/17/2006 to be offlimits for LMA, but that, "This is only the 6/17/06 performance. Everything else is still completely cool."

i seem to remember they had problems with other shows on the LMA but they were festival shows. they wanted to repeatedly urge that they were still cool with taping, just the bonnaroo specifically they didn't want on the LMA

You wanna bet that those Bonnaroo promoters are really behind this change. It wouldn't be the first time, that they hawked a package of Hi-Lites on CD and DVD a few days after the shows.

Reminds me of the Clear Channel attitude. "We own the artists. We own their copyrighted music. Better unplug your DAT machine from the sound board, or get the f--- outta here." Sounds like the Tennessse bunch takes their cues after the BushCo gang from Texas...

No, it was just the band and they were very clear when they contacted us that this decision was one they made on thier own and had nothing to do with festival management. Bonnaroo on a whole was taper-friendly.

Thank you. I wondered if it might be something like that.

Do you leave your default setting to receive email after a forum post response? IIRC I posted a heads up on both your separate threads about the show, the day of the removal.
